Zelli Porcelain Award Runner up

“I Saw a Ship a Sailing”  Zelli Porcelain Award runner up 2005.

This piece was made for the Zelli award to depict the rhyme of the same title. I based the shape of the boat on drawings of Viking boats and covered the sides with carved comfits and apples. The two girls are waving off the traveller who stands proudly on the deck.
