My signature bowl, thrown on the wheel from fine white porcelain. The design is inspired by sketches of masses of barnacle shells on coastal rocks. Each hole is carefully pierced and bored through individually, creating a delicately ridged surface that contrasts with the smooth walls of the bowl. . I pinch the rims to create a delicacy and thinness that belie porcelain's characteristic strength. Placed near a light or window the porcelain will reveal it's beautiful subtle translucency. Display with a few casual flowers, in a group of different sizes or simply on it's own.
