- Making a wall piece
In this session we work together to create a beautiful wall piece of your favourite landscape or other subject matter.
You will learn three techniques for making textures in porcelain, sgraffito, carving and applying slip. Armed with this knowledge you will then roll out a porcelain tile and recreate your design onto the porcelain. Stains are used to give colour and glaze can be applied to depict water or give a sheen before firing in the kiln. Wall pieces give a creative and stylish way to have a picture of a treasured place and make great gifts. Mounting and framing service available. The tiles can also be made into personalised House name plates.
Available as a 3 hour (9:30 - 12:30) or full day experience (9:30 - 4:40)
Can be booked as a 1: 1 session or in a small group.
- Hand building session
For those who would like to learn how to model an animal or perhaps make a pair of candle holders or a set of plates - hand building sessions are ideal. Just send me an email with an idea of what you'd like to make and I'll figure out a way to make it happen.
