Cleft standing form is a tall statement piece inspired by a awesome walk up Beinn Alligin in the Torridon range that involves two munroes plus three Horns of Alligin and lots of exposure! The Cleft ( Eag Dhubh) is a deep gash formed by an ancient land slip.

The pot is formed by carefully joining two sections of thrown porcelain. I then sculpted the cleft and accentuated the surface with a blend of oxides. The angular form is my own interpretation. Crawling glaze suggests ice flows in snowy conditions.
