The Pinnacles standing form is thrown on the wheel from fine porcelain.
Inspired by soaring pinnacles and deep gullies on An Teallach in the Scottish Highlands, I create the sense of height first by joining together two sections thrown on the wheel, then adding thinned shards porcelain.
Craved sections create gullies and fissures. White crawling glaze and glossy glaze suggests ice flows and give highlights.
