Snow Cornice is a statement piece designed to make a dramatic impact. Inspiration comes from a winter walk up Ben Lomond where the biting wind on the summit whipped snow into overhanging cornices. I create this effect by building up layers of thin overlapping porcelain. Touches of white crawling glaze and glossy transparent add highlights and shine. The height of the form is achieved by joining together two sections of thrown porcelain.
