Snowdrift is a tall elegant standing form. A statement piece that is nevertheless quiet and commanding. Formed from two sections of thrown porcelain joined together. Wafer thin layers of porcelain have been added to create snow drifts  - these sections will show a delicate translucency when backlit by a lamp or on a sunny window ledge. Areas of glossy transparent glaze suggest icy patched. Wind sculpted patterns in the snow are suggested using thick white slip.
